The filters that I use are made by me and based on the Trickle Towers Showers.

The Japanese principle for filters are the bigger the better (about 1/3 of the size of the pond).

But happily a new type of filter was born that radically came to resolve the lack of space.

They are called Trickle Towers Showers. For me is a great method of filtration. I made my towers in wood of green pine and use expanded clay filter as media. I am using this filters since November and with excellent results. Beyond the excellent quality of the water my kois had grown on average about 10 the 15 cm since I use it. During these 8 years never had a growth factor like this. The feeding was also very abundant. Volume of water to feed these filters of the temporary pond is 7.000 liters/hour.
